Description
The existing Mvula Primary School was built in 1985. The first classrooms walls and roofs structures were made up of zinc sheeting, known as “informal structures”. These were made up of a variety of low cost or discarded material. The library, computer and admin block was later built in the 1995’s. These structures were made of concrete blocks with asbestos sheeting and a few timber planked structures, funded by NGO and private funding. As stated by vice principal Ms. James and Mr. Ninzi at the Mvula Primary School. In 2017 the entire school was painted, including roof, windows and walls.
